Goodwin Home Care FAQs
What is home care?
From support with activities of daily living to homemaking services to companionship and more, home care provides daily support for those in their homes. You can receive home care services to meet short-term or long-term care needs. To cover the costs of the care, you would either pay privately or through long-term care insurance reimbursement based on your plan.
Who qualifies for home care?
Anyone. If you need support to live comfortably and safely in your home, are looking for companionship or need an escort to various appointments, you’re a candidate for home care.
What’s involved in getting started with home care?
We will send a nurse to visit with you to discuss your needs. We will then set you up with home care team members to support your needs.
How long does it take to get services scheduled with Goodwin Home Care?
We ask for 48 hours to get you on our schedule.
What is the difference between Goodwin Home Care and Goodwin Home Health?
Goodwin Home Care services provide personal care assistance, such as bathing, feeding or dressing, to those who need help to live comfortably and safely in their home. You can receive these services to meet either short-term or long-term care needs. To cover the costs of this type of care, you would either pay privately or use long-term care insurance reimbursement based on your plan.
Goodwin Home Health services provide clinical care for those who have a chronic medical condition or are home bound while recovering from illness, injury or surgery. You can receive home health services to meet short-term care needs. It requires a doctor’s order, and health insurance typically covers it.
